Wierd but need info 454 to deisel swap

ok here is the deal my friend has a bus and my main concern is the driveline will i need to change it at all? in other words if i took out the 454 gas motor would the deisel bolt up to a th350 or th-400 tranny? and if so what motor the 6.5, 6.2 liter etc... i know there is a lot in here but one last thing anyone in or around pa looking to get rid of a diesel?

yes, a 6.2 or 6.5 will bolt to any trans behind a 454, however, you will need a diesel torque convertor and governor(controls shift points)
