ok guys, just recently i am hearing a loud sort of rubbing sound coming from what appears to be my left front tire area. its all stock, no lift or whatever.

seal of some sort maybe?

thanks

I have that similar type of thing on my 94 2wd P/U, i found out yesterday what it was, it was the flaps that are installed on the fender wells that help keep water out of the engine compartment, splash guards, one of mine is ripped and sticking out just a bit, so when i turn the wheel to the right while backing, the tire rubs on it. Check out those splask guards, if thats not the case, turn the wheels all the way and see if you can't see anything that "might" rub.

nothing hanging, or rubbing when i turn the tires. now, i did notice thaqt there is some kind of steering arm only on the drivers side? im new at gearing, so im not sure what its called. possible maybe that that is going bad?

Well with out actually being there to play with it, you are going to have to try to recreate the situation with someone outside the vehicle and listening for the sound, going to have to pin point where it is coming from. If something is rubbing in the wheel wells, there should be some sort of rubbed material somewhere, either cleaned, chewed up from the tires. What size tires are you running?

31 's. i called my bud, he said hell listen for it this weekend when we adjust the timing so i can try to pass emissions

thanks alot
