Wife got her new truck. She wants it lifted. (warm and fuzzy feeling)

id go with a 3" body and 33's..that would probobly look nice. i was tempted to buy an ifs rig and still am..nice smooth ride..look great..its just they dont flex for sh!t and are wayyy to expesive to do a suspension lift on if you ask me. plus you break something..its ganna be a lot worse to replace both labor wise and cost wise..so i stick with my striaght axle trucks..STUPID of GM to go ifs on there trucks!! /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

The frame already sticks way down on these trucks, I don't think body lifts look good on them. That is just my opinion though. Not to stray from topic, but GM is in the business of selling trucks, IFS is better for 99% of people out there. I don't know who would go wheeling in a brand new $35,000 truck. Wish I could.

Don't know what motor you got (I'm assuming the 6.0l gas) A body lift on the Duramaxs can be quite involved. The 33s can be accomidated by triming and cranking. However I think you would be more happy with the truck with a 4-6" lift seeing as it will be a daily driver cranking the bars can effect the ride some. When looking for a kit make sure it keeps the factory front track width...
