I asked in my build thread but I think traffic is slow there since I don’t post too much:

So I’m going to put 56s with a shackle flip in the rear of the burb. The pack I got was from a 3/4 ton with 7 leaves and an overload I think. I’m looking for a softer ride than my rough countries, and be able to flex off road. The burb has about 230lbs of bumper and spare tire on the back and my camping gear goes with me everywhere. I plan to build a swing out for water cans and propane too. I don’t tow, and if I did it would be light. I’m basically wondering if stock 3/4s will be too stiff and if I should pull a leaf or two. Has anyone else messed around by reducing a 3/4 ton pack?

burb and 7 leaf 56" rears i think you will be happy . if to firm pull a lower leaf each side .

i did a set of 22-547 springs in a blazer with a ord 4" flip and super shackles . we had to pull 2 leafs per side to make him happy with the ride . it was firmer than stock blazer rear springs but not bad at all .

here she is FLEXING out

the front is 4" tuff country HD and zero rate 1.5" forward . the rear is 22-547 springs and ord 4" flip and super shackles and axle back 1" with aftermarket perches on the axle . if i recall it was #5 & #7 leaf we pulled each side .she is riding on 37x12.50x17 tire and wheel combo and a 1.5" aluminum body lift .

i also have the 22-547 in my k30 rear with a flip and super shackles . all the leafs are still in them pack . i added timbren bump stops for extra weight capacity as i need it . every one says how does my k30 ride so nice compared to other k30s so stiff in the rear .

I'm using well used K30 springs on the back of my Blazer with a 2.5" flip, they may not be coilovers but they aren't stiff. I'd do it again.

Thanks! I’ll have to save this PN in case these springs are worn. I think I’m leaning towards pulling one leaf. I’ve been enjoying the ORD fronts. The rear used to be more forgiving on the trail. Now it’s the opposite. Still need good shocks though. I ordered the ORD flip and super shackle/bushing combo.
