I got a set of Rebuilt heads for $$free$$ /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif, but i was told that they might be for a 305? would there be any difference between the 305 & 350? If so what should i look for? & once again are they interchangeble?

im not to sure but i think they will bolt right on but make suure the combstion chahmber cc isnt to same

Yes they will. Most 350's have a 76cc head as where the 305 has a 58cc head.

& im in the proces of rebuilding, but is on a buget. so i figure I can do the bottom end now, & run the new rebuilt (complete) heads, then when I recive the funds I can go with larger heads, ...can we say vortecs

Post the casting #'s and someone can probably give you an answer on what you have. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

They don't flow as well but compression will be pretty high so that may make up for it.

the compression will make more power, but the newly found restrictions that some 305 guys try to pass off as ports and valves will kill any chance of making the power known when you get on the loud pedal.

yes they will be just fine 58 cc combustion so good gas only retard your timing and enjoy alittle extra horse power

Yep, they will for sure bolt on. Bump your compression a little and as somebody said they won't flow as well but they make better low end torque. great for a truck.

Well, truck heads and 305 HO had 1.84/1.50 valves and 58cc chambers.

Post up the casting numbers or look them up yourself to find out what they are for sure.

305 heads are a poor head solution as far as performance goes. However, it's hard to beat free.
