Does anyone know how much lift is required to run a 38x14.5 tire on a 16x12 wheel without any rubbing or trimming? Will a 16x12 wheel rub on any steering parts at full lock on a 3/4 ton 44? I have a 75 k5 with an 8" lift by the way.

I am running 38x15.5 on a 10" wheel, 6" lift, 1" body lift and a sawzall.:D

How much backspacing do those wheels have....?

Kind of another important piece of data, especially given the question you're asking.....

.

I have 15/38.5-16.5 Ground Hawgs on a 9.75" wide wheel with 10" of lift and they mashed my fenders bad when flexing (and no, my K20 is not super flexy). So, you will need more than 10" with no trimming if you do anything other than drive it to the mall.

We just put an 8" skyjacker on my buddies 86 K5, and he is running 38x15.50 Swampers on a 12" wheel... they rub like a bastard on the front, but the back seems OK.

Here is a pic of it before it got all fuked up

16.5's? damn i bet that why they rubbed with 10 inches of lift.

16.5" wheel diameter. The tire is only 15" wide on a 9.75" wide wheels.

Not my truck, it is my buddies. The bumper is a WARN unit, and was pretty flimsy in my opinion, for the price. I think w/ the 8" on there you would have plenty of room w/ a little trimming on the front and rear lowest corners of the front fenders.

here is a pic of my truck . it has 38.5x15.5x16.5 ground hawgs with m/t classicII on it with 6" lift and 3" body lift. its all on a factory 1 ton framed truck with dana 60 frt . the 60 frt gets you just over 1" more lift verses a dana 44 or corp 10 bolt frt.
