Will a 77 gas tank skid plate fit on a 90?

Does anyone know if a 77 K5 gas tank skid plate will fit on a 90 K5? I've got access to a 77 parts truck with one and a 90 that needs one. Just wanted to know before I go to the trouble to drop the tank and get it all out only to find out it wouldn't fit.

I believe it should. But I could be wrong.

Skid plate is the same, gas tank on the 90 has a baffle in it whereas the 77 does not. Also you need to make sure that both vehicles have the same capacity gas tank or it may not work. If the 90 has a 31 gallon tank but the 77 has a 24 gallon tank it will not work, but if the skid is for a 31 gallon tank it will work either way.

A 31 gallon tank skid plate will work on a 25 gallon tank, only difference is there will be a gap between the bottom of the tank and the skid plate /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
