Will a 79 Tach work on a 75?

I bought a tach dash from a 79 chevy truck, what series of truck I'm not sure. I was wondering if someone could tell me if this will work on my 75 K5? If not is there a inexpensive way to make it work or should I just sell the dash to someone else?

I *believe* it will bolt in directly, the only thing that may be different is the font used. If you have the dash in front of you, pull the bezel off the 75 and compare. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

the wiring changed significantly in 77

it can be made to work, I did it, I had to move the pins on the guage plug to match the newer tach cluster
