does anybody know if the spline count and shaft size are the same on the rear yolk a 203 and a 205

The shaft, or the yoke itself?
The Yokes will swap, they are the same spline size and count, as well as ground hub diameter.
If you mean can you convert a slip yoke 205 to a fixed using NP203 part, no it will not work. The internals of a NP203 are far far different than what is required to do that swap.

thanks guyz thats what i wanted to know now all i got to do is find a socket big enough to take it off 
It 1 5/16" if you didn't already know. I bought a craftsman one but the socket walls were too thick to get into the yoke, I ended up picking up a cheapo made in india one that had thinner walls, it worked fine, at about half the cost of the Craftsman.
