will a mint 77 dash cap fit on a 81 dash

the truck i just picked up, inside was the ****s, but it is fully loaded...

my last truck, the camo jimmy i had a mint dash pad in, with my auto meter gauges installed, will it bolt on to the newer style dash...

i sure hope so...

it also has my mint red door panels

Don't think so... I believe 80 is the changeover year.. the older dashs have that angled back look and I don't think that fits over the metal of post 80 trucks...

I too have a mint 77 dashpad, looked at it, and decided it wasn't gonna work in my 87..

my ex truck chevy pick up 1985 and i had a 78 dash in it it fits good. but the only problem was vin location is in different spot. it didnt bother me. depends on ur inspector.
