Will a NP 208 Tailhousing bolt onto a NP 241 case?

I'm hoping so, But I don't know how the primary shaft would be fixed into place because the output bearing on the NP241 is placed right where the tail housing is split.(2 different pieces bolt up) The fixed dowell is also in a different place in the 208. I'm hoping there is some way to get them to mate up, My 88 has a speedo cable and I want to put the 241 on but the tail shaft is set up for electronic speed sensor. Please help with any suggestions...
