Talking suburbans. My step mom managed to strip some teeth off the ring gear in her 95 burb. its a 10 bolt with 3.42's. Im having trouble finding a new rear end for cheap for it but there is about a thousand for pre 87's. So does anyone know if the springpad spacing is the same on tem or do i have to have one from that specific year?

Suburban axles changed in 1992 with the newer body style. You can use an older axle but you'll have to move the perches.

Alternately, you can use a pickup axle from '88-on.

93 and up have the 4l60. Too bad your on the left coast, I'm getting a 92 Blazer with a 10 bolt rear w/3.42s.

i saw a 6 lug 14 bolt semi floater go on craigslist here for 100$, would make a nice upgrade for your mom
