will an 75 dash fit in an 85?

i need to replace my dash and i found a '75 for cheap, will it fit?

You mean the pad? No, they are different...

well it was worth a shot, anybody know where to get a new (or quality used?) dash pad?

Some of the clips are in the wrong spot from early to late ( easily removed , but not added ) , and the dash bezel sticks out past the pad if you use an older pad with new bezel .

You can easily put a whole newer setup ( dash , bezel , gauges , complete wiring ) into older though , if you remove a couple clips .
