damn, just got everything fixed, and drove the truck to work today, couldent turn the key off after i got back from lunch, had to pull the coil wire to shut it off

any tricks to turn the ignition off and get the key out?

Wiggle it, which I'm positive you've tried, and spray some graphite lube in the keyway. Maybe pull on it with a pair of pliers too.

Disconnect the battery. Turn the key to the on position. Locate pin hole. Its either on the column near the ignition or you'll need to pop off the chrome ring surrounding the key.
Straighten out a paper clip and stick it in the pin hole. Pull the tumbler out. Go to NAPA and get a new one.

pin hole ??????? what year is it the pin hole thing is on 67 to 72 that i knew of if its 73 and up you will need to take the colmn apart to remove the cylinder

your year you need to pop the horn button. the pin hole is under there. I did this years ago when I swapped in a tilt column, so the exact details are lost. But at the very least start there.
