4"s, your lucky, up in the mountians we got over a foot in the past 24hrs! That was after a cold drizzle, so I'll be driving on ice for weeks. As to wheeling in the snow, be carefull, I went once and slipped off the trail, broke a window, and got to spend $$$ in recovery supplys just to get it back on the trail. I sure was fun though, when your on a trail just as wide as your truck and the rear end starts sliding around. I really need to get some o sh!t! handels!

K-5- because size DOES matter!

We got 18" in Summit County ! The drifts on my road where over 2ft deep. I'm leaving for Moab tommorrow (dang it, I just cleaned the trooper) anyway, quit your whining, fire up that bad boy and head out to Moab! It's going to be mid 60-70's there this weekend.

You guys got a bunch over there.I'm in Parachute and it just rained.I did have the day off though It snowed hard in Aspen.Looks like it will be nice for the weekend. There still is too much snow up in the hills to get anywhere though.Might do a mud run Sun.We'll do the Wild Horse loop in Debeque. It is cool if you like mud.I have fun in the mud but hate to clean it up after. If I don't go there I will atleast take a ride up Battlement Mesa trail and see where the snow line is.Looking from my house looks like it is right at the beggining Roughly 8'000 feet.Brady

Hey, I broke a window, too. Never even touched the glass. The shock from the rear end dropping three feet and only stopping when the bumper hit a rock shattered it. That was the back tailgate one, I got a side window on a tree last summer. Man, I need a soft top.
As far as dicey, we had that, too. A CJ-7 with a welded front diff broke that and with all the wheel spinning he ran out of gas near the end of the trail. He was getting pulled out by a TJ and almost got pulled off the side of a mountain going around the curves. We ended up hooking the back of the CJ to the front of my Jimmy while the TJ pulled. TJ for gas, me for brakes. It was a wild ride, the trail had been driven on all day and by now, around midnight, it was a sheet of ice. That was a long day 9:00 AM-2:00 AM the next day. BTW, I had 5" of fresh snow on my hood by the time we got to the Waffle King.

I live east of Parker and we have drifts that are easily taller than 5-6 feet. I was driving home Wednesday morning in almost 0 visibility and ran into a drift that was over the hood of my Blazer. I never even saw it. My truck was stuck for a LOOOOONG time.
