I'm going back to stock and this guy is offering to sell me all four factory M1009 CUCV springs for $50 and I just need to make sure they will fit my truck before I go pick them up. It is an '89 1/2T Jimmy/K5.

Thanks! Feel free to ridicule me in your response :D

No ridicule, they will fit, and they will be a bit stiffer than your 1/2 ton springs.
I have a set sitting here too.

Perfect! The reason I'm going stock is the superlift springs in the front have slowly settled so much that I have only 1/2 inch of lift from what should've been 2.5 inches. Plus I'm tired of the hot rod lean and transfer case drop. Guess you could say I'm conceding to the engineers at GM and admitting they designed a pretty damn good truck from the factory.

The extra stiffness will be good for the extra weight I have in the front (dual batteries and winch with bumper).

Thanks for the info miceman

Just to wrap this up for anyone who might search in the future: the springs went in without a hitch. You'll need 1/2 inch hardware for all of the bushings except for two, which are 7/16 diameter.

The springs ride really well compared to the Superlift. I'm very happy with the end result.
