Will pickup bed sides un bolt without dealing with any welds?

Just curious. Will the bed sides on my 78 un bolt without dealing with any welds? I noticed there is a bunch of bolts holding it on, but are there welds also? Would be really handy if they could just un bolt!

I ask because there is a bed on cl for $20! But as a complete bed Igot nowhere to store it . But in pieces, I can!

Yes, at least 67-72 do for sure. Both my 69' & 70' did. My 89 LB did as well. Maybe they all will, that I'm not sure of though.

Been a while but when I skinned out my bed I am pretty sure there were welds holding it together, along with bolts

lots of bolts and few tack welds at rear post /tgate area . and crack threw old dry seam sealer.

Ok, I do remember a few tack wends like you said, but not many. ZERO on my 69' & 70'.

I decided against it any way. If its still available this weekend i might go pick it up. I would have had to take the day off work to get it today and decided it wasnt worth it.
