Hello all,

I purchased the tub off a '90 k5 and I got the whole harness from it frame, firewall, everything. I will be replacing my tub off my 88 (rust won on that one). I want to know will i run into any problems useing the harness from the '90 besides the headlights.

Some differences I'm aware of are the 90 has rear abs and electronic speedo...

I got the abs unit with it i just unhooked the brake lines that go to the frame at least i think that was the abs unit. as for the speedo how does it hook up to the tranny is it an adapter that i can upgrade to to make it work?

There is a VSS sensor thing at the tail end of the '90 transfer case that the speedo gets a signal from. You didn't happen to get the '90 T-case too did you?

No i didnt but i could, will i need it or is it better. I thought it was the same as the one in my '88. The '90 was a cash for clunkers only 18k on it.So i jumped on it but could only buy the tub and a few other parts off it plus the motor was locked up. Obama kill alot of good vehicles.

With the 90 case it'll be plug and play, but you could just swap tailshaft housings. The VSS deal is at the very rear of the case.
