My new rear drive line setup just arrived from Tom Woods. I am going from the stock set up (1310) to a CV set up with 1350 and a rear conversion ujoint. My question is this:

When I talked with them on the phone I swear I remember them mentioning a new seal for the rear out put yoke. Will I need one? I have the 205 and will be running the new cv set up for 1350 UJoints. I am not sure if the new one is a different size than the older one? If so what seal will I need to get? I am assuming one for a 1 ton instead?

Thanks a bunch Moab is only 8 days away...

It will depend on whether the diameter between the two Yokes is the same or not where the seal rides on the Yoke. You could always give them a call and i'm sure they'll give you the part number of the seal you need then just go to your local auto parts store and buy it there to save time.

The old seal worked fine they were the same size. I had the line last night and the blazer was down the hill. So I am good to go.

I think it was probably more of a recommendation really, since the driveshaft is out, it's cheap insurance against leaking to replace it. I know I personally would have... :waytogo:
