Will these Tires/Wheels fit? Not sure about backspacing...

I just picked up some 38x12.5/16.5 Swamper TSL's mounted on 8 Lug Eagle Series 589 Wheels 16.5 x 9.75 with 4 3/4" BS. Going on my 83 K5 Blazer 6" Lift, 1" Bodylift and trimmed fenders. 14 Bolt FF Rear and Dana 44 Front. I know about 3" BS is optimal, so will I have any problems with the 4 3/4" Backspacing hitting the tie rod or anything?

should have any probs back there with a 12.5 tire and 4.25 backspacing. I have run 14.5's on my 4.25 backspaced rims. Might have fender clearance, but have to wait and see on that /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

There is no optimal backspacing. Everyone has a differing opinion about how much tire they want sticking out.

I personally prefer as much tucked in as possible. My rims are 4 1/4 backspacing 15x10s. I have 38.5x16x15 TSLs wrapped around them and the only issues I've had is keeping them away from the front fenders.

Put them on and see if they rub. You might be able to get away with just trimming the fenders some more, or you may have to relocate your front axle forward.

I tried 16x10's with 4.5"BS on mine and they hit my tie-rods. I dont think they will fit, especially if they have clamp on weights on the inside.
