Will this cam work? NEVERMIND, I saw the dyno graph.

I bought the edelbrock performer rpm cam way back about 5 years ago when I still had my nova. Because I was young and dumb I threw together a POS 350 with this cam it it, well the building it was in burned down and I took the engine apart and never ran it or did anything with it.

I have had this sitting around for years and was thinking of what a K10 would be like with it. I am guessing its too radical for a heavy truck, but Ive been bored with the TBI swap since about the time I finished it and have been wanting a reason to build the fresh .030 over block I have.

I know I need way more compression than stock and all that, should I hang onto it or sell the thing?

Peak power was at 4500 RPM. There was about 300 ft/lbs at 2500rpm, and it looked like it dropped off dramaticly at engine speeds lower than that. Im guessing thats why the graph started at 2500 RPM.

i see you said you saw the dyno..but i just wanted to add anyway..

when i was choosing a cam (didnt have any in my possession)...
i was going to go with one cam but noticed it was a 1500-6500rpm cam..

then i went back one step... idle - 5000..... since we have trucks... and i had a 77 monte carlo 305 in my truck at one point.. i can say... definitely no car cam for a truck.....

i even have a 1991 caprice 9c1 police motor now and it wasnt great... that is why i went with a extreme 4x4 cam .457" lift ( 1500rpm cam was .475" lift and would have needed head work on the vortecs so that was the other deciding factor)
