I was wondering if a 6 inch skyjacker lift for a 83 K5 will fit a 84 K20 truck. I bought the lift and never installed it due to the fact that I totaled the K5.

I measured from the eyes of the spring and it looks like it would fit but I am not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

One thing:
in 84 I belive most K20's had a 56" rear spring.
If the lift has rear replacement spring, it might not wok, the front however will work on all K trucks.
If the rear is just a block added then it will work.

When I measured between the spring eyes there was only one inch difference. The replacement spring was one inch shorter than the original spring that is still on the truck. Do you think that a longer shackle would work?

is this front?
he lift spring are supposed to be a little longer to be a little soft, I think a longer shackle would be better, but not necessary, they build these springs to work with stock shackles.

This was the rear. I will measure again when I wake up this afternoon just to make sure.

If it's the rear, measure the truck not the spring, it will be 4" difference, it's either 52" or 56"

I did not get a chance to measure it today but if my memory serves me right I measured 48 inches for the spring that was on the truck and 47 inches for the replacement spring. I will have to take a better look at it when I come back from vacation.

Thanks for the input imiceman44 and I will be back!!!

Well, I measured my old k5 chassis and compaired it to the k20 chassis and the measurements are the same. I took three different measurements to make sure. Thanks for the help. I hope that it all goes smoothly.
