Yep. Won’t be a barn burner but should be reliable. Should receive your current intake

Should be bolt in

Check those motor mounts you are already using or replace them

Ive got poly mounts , less then couple thousand miles in them. Probably wont do motor swap til next year but want to research now

i know you said the engine in your link but read this quick .but yes your link would fit the bill just fine .

L31 just needs electric fuel pump / intake / flex plate for 1 peice rear and a plug for the crank sensor hole in the timing cover . otherwise it will bolt in and run .

plus you get roller cam and 250hp/330ft of power . i like my L31 she runs smooth and moves my 6,300 lb k30 just fine .

cheepest place i found with truck freight shipping and $50.00 gift card . i got mine from them . https://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-OEM-NEW...296304?hash=item4636cfc330:g:c3kAAOSw1UdcvxpQ

I'll second the L31 crate engine. It's still a gen1 SBC and designed for truck duty, it's basically the best gen1 engine GM used in a factory application. I've got one in my truck with the factory quadrajet and it runs great.

I've got the stock long block L31 in my truck, I can't imagine what the truck would feel like with 65 less hp and ~25 ft lbs less torque.

Totally get wanting to drop a bone stock replacement in. Changing something always adds complexity and more cost.

But for what you get with an L31 crate, and the cost from Radley (you can google them and talk direct, bypassing ebay FWIW) it's pretty hard to justify NOT getting one vs an older variant.

Don't forget, the L31 is a one piece rear main as well, I'm assuming the one you linked is not. Roller cam prevents all concern about lowered ability of modern oil to help the flat tappet cams, and the seals SHOULD keep that thing from leaking far longer than the two piece motors. I hate leaks.
