Will This patch panel work on my blazer?

My 72 Blazer's windshield frame is in terrible need of replacement. I need a tetnus shot from all the rust that falls on me when I shift. I found a patch panel for the interior of the pickups windshield frame Can this be modified to fit the blazer, or is it model specific? Has anyone seen this done?

That panel will give you part of what you need, the piece that bends down from the top of the windshield frame will have to be made and welded to the patch piece.
With the rarity of good donors anymore this might be what everyone has to resort to in order to repair the common rust. Unless someone can get at least the inner skin reproduced.

Could work out if the existing windshield frame was solid along the top I guess.

I haven't actually done it yet.I had given up on getting a good one after 2 years of searchinga and thought I was going to have to make my own so I bought the patch panel and made a pattern for the small piece that bends up and over the top of the frame. Just as I was going to get cutting I stumbled acrossed a good frame for $125.00.
Making a patch piece for the inside of the windshield frame can be done, it'll take a lot of time but it can be done. The outer skin and pillars could be cut off of a pickup if needed so all is not lost, just is a lot more work.

I just stumbled across another windshield frame if you are interested in buying a pretty decent one, probably be around $150 plus the ride.
