will toyota 4runner rims fit K5

A buddy has a 80s toyota 4runner with some rims, they are 6 lug, and was told its the same bolt pattern as chevy, im also concerned about backspacing, etc.

Yes they will fit. I have ran mid 80's Toyota wheels on an old chevy truck before and the bolt pattern is 6 on 5.5, same as chevy.
 
You just can't go the other way. The hub is bigger on a Toyota, so Chevy rims won't fit a Toy (without a torch anyway).

That sounds familiar. Most aftermarket rim manufacturers will make the wheels with a large hub to fit both GM and Toyota
