I'm about to pull the T350 out of the Blazer (engine is out already) will the fluids dump as I separate the two?

Any pointers?

Thanks guys.

always drain your fluids.

even if you pull the dip stick housing its going to pour out. and if you split the 2 it will pour out also.

you gona get messy .

pull a lower bolt from the rear cover for the front output. will drain slow.

but you dont need to drain the tcase . its got a input seal to keep the gear oil from the atf fluid. edit: forgot 203. need to pull tcase from adaptor. = oil out . then adaptor from tranny.

i am not going anywere on the web. just in life . nc bound this month for sure. :D

Think I might be going about this the wrong way.

I only want the Tranny not the T Case, but do both need to come out?

Can I separate the two while installed? I started pulling bolts from the adaptor but I can't see how many there are, and I pulled the two long bolts that go through the cross member.

They don't seem to be separating...:doah:

203 in your question.

205 in your sig ?

203 = pull tcase from adaptor then adaptor from tranny. and oil mess.

205 4 bolts only for adaptor from tranny. and can leave it on crossmember.

why you pullin the stuff ?

Okay, any idea how many bolts there should be? I must be close LOL.

I'm pulling an engine and tranny from a '73 I bought sight unseen (I got the engine out already). Turns out it's pretty rough. I have a buyer for the frame and axles.

I still might keep the tub, but likely I'll chop the windshield and keep the doors.

Thanks for your help, this is the first time I've pulled an engine and I've never seen an installed 203 before LOL.

just looked at a pic of an adaptor there is 7 bolts to the tcase. then 4 hidden inside the adaptor to tranny case.
