Anyone have experience with these replacement calipers? Wondering if they actually perform better or are just better looking.

I have the Wilwoods on one of my cars and like them a lot, I bought them for the weight savings and better clamping distribution

Can I ask if the increase in clamping force was actually noticeable? An "Oh yeah, that is much better" difference.

For what vehicle?

I think they are really spendy, but don't have any other experience.

More often than not, when people complain about the brakes on our trucks, its due to lack of maintenance. Mine stop pretty well, and i could always go to softer pads in the front.

Properly working front calipers, good pads, straight rotors, properly adjusted rears with good shoes, proper bleed, etc.

On my last Burb I found I had lost a lot of brake performance going to 35 inch tires. I went down to my local Napa store and had them look up the calipers with the largest pistons and matching master cylinder from a heavy 3/4 ton. I machined the rotors and installed these new brake parts along with some EBC yellowstuff pads. It made a noteworthy difference in stopping power and braking confidence.

I have a K20 Suburban with 35 inch tires. Just installed hydra boost brakes along with braided stainless lines. It is much improved over original vacuum set up. I was just wanting to eek out a bit more and thought the wilwood calipers might be worth it.

I think the EBC pads had a lot to do with the performance as well, if you aren't using a high performance pad yet, it would be worth the investment
