well ive been searching egay and i noticed jegs has great deals on named brand winches. they say they are brand new un used there is a superwinch 8500lb for $314 free shipping i wasnt sure though if these were items sent back by customers and would like your opinion if i should get one here is one of them i might go bigger though http://www.ebay.com/itm/Superwinch-...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item4844b4d145

Had good reviews on Amazon. Probably very similar to the smittlybilt winch which alot of folks like.

Good price too.

I don't think you can really go wrong there

i think im just gunna save a little and go with the warn vr8000 i know tons of people with warns and nothing but good things to say i dont doubt that those engos are good but for now im going to play it safe and save for a warn vr8000 wich is bout 500

Look around. I got a VR10000 with wireless remote kit and free shipping for $499. Also a $50 mail in rebate. I think it was at gowarn.com

My buddy got a Warn VR 10k, I think he only used it once so far. He said it works better than the POS Superwinch he had on before.

I on the otherhand have always liked my 80/8274's.

I talked to a warn rep and the jeep safari about the VR series and he said they actually have about the same US content as the rest of the winch line. The talk on the street is that the VRs are imported parts and US assembly but it sounds like they're actually more US built and about fewer features and "nice to haves" while still doing what they're supposed to do and just pull your stuck ass out.
I'm a huge fan of the VR. We picked one up for our Cheap Truck since I have been borrowing the 9.5XP off our crewcab and that pretty well blows the cheap truck idea out of the water.

love my Ramsey Patriot 15k.. however never needed to use it... one would figure detroits and 40's would = stuck massive.. oh wait you have to leave the driveway.. :doah:

im planning on a hydraulic up front some day.. between my front frame rails.. 10.5k mile marker with its own pump..
