Do any companies make something simular for blazer? I heard somewhere that they were made by warn?

Warn DID make them but they have discontinued them. Only way to find that style now is used.
 
alrite thanks, to craigslist. I really dont wheel my truck to much but it would just be my luck, i would be screwing around in the woods and i would get stuck.
 
That is where I just found the one I got. Pretty much only going on my K5 for hunting season so I can have my winch for then, then off it comes to start the planning and mocking up of my permanent winch bumper.
 
I've got a modified warn up front that I'm happy with now. Had to raise it and tuck it to get a good approach angle. I like the look. You can usually find them for 50 to 100 bucks.

In stock form they hang low and stick out pretty far, never made for clearance. Try to get the mounting brackets with the bumper, otherwise you'll spend 80.00 for the hardware. They come in black or chrome.

How did you raise it, did you just drill new holes in the brackets?
 
Is this bumper made by a member here or is it made by a vendor on here? I Love the way this looks.

Just call me James. ;)

mrk5 helped me make new brackets out of flat stock steel that essentially moved the mounting points for the bumper side both up and back several inches. The frame side retained the stock bolt pattern so I did not have to redrill.

The stock Warn bracket looks like a square tube that's been cut in half longways so that it's U shaped and fits in your frame rail. The problem is that it sticks straight out from your frame rail and the bumper sits just below your valance panel. The brackets we made came straight out and then jogged up raising the top bumper edge above the valance and pulling it back in. The Warn has two top cover panels that are thin metal and bolt in place, those had to be trimmed back about 2/3 to fit the tuck job.

Only problem now is whether I can still get a winch on it - might have to cut a section out of the grill. But it's better than hanging up on sharp transitions.
 
Couple of pictures before and after. The second is mrk5's son Liam on the stock Warn. The 1st is after the lift and tuck. Also added some H2 bolt on shackles.

I have this one. Very happy with it. Looks great and its tough too.

I really dont think that its gonna be a problem, i am not taking my truck rock crawling.
 
BUMPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LoL..Id say build your own or take truck to a shop, youll get better results and itll be truely custom fit. Here is mine that I order from a company I will not name, they had horrible customer service and the product was not as they said. It was suppose to be a tru bolt on and was far from it. My 4x4 shop MADE it work. Anyways, it looks good and is strong but was a PITA to deal with.
