i got it for $80 at the junk yard :D
makes the truck look like a fire truck LOL
 
Looks like an old Warn classic to me. Good lookin truck, by the way.
 
i was gonna say Warn also.

Now i know what my truck would like like lifted, bigger tires, 4-door and 3/4 ton :D

Have almost the same bumper on my '83. Only difference is mine drops alittle lower so i had to cut it out where the hitch sticks out :doah:
 
Well i think i went a little overboard on mine. I used my dad's torch :haha:

Woulda done better but it took me like 5 minutes and the cop told me i had to have a bumper :rolleyes:
 
Did it reduce the strength of the hitch? There was NO way i was touchin mine with a torch. whoever welded this one on didn't ever want it to come off cause it's the most reinforced thing on the whole truck :haha:

I think i could hook the front of the frame to a tree and a dozer to that hitch and it'd tear the frame in half before ever coming loose :rotfl:
 
i dont think so. it was just another mounting point to the stock bumper.
i did grind down most of it and with a big screw driver thing i broke em off.
the first side came of easy then on the second one i killed the grinder about half ways.
i tried the same technique with the bar and it broke jabbing my arm and now have a big bruise from my wrist half ways up my arm.. LOL
