Winch Donut???

I'm looking for the official name of the steel donuts that some guys use on their winch cable so the hook doesn't go through the fairlead and also used so you don't have to hook the end of the cable to anything, you can reel it it tight on the donut.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about???

Rubber, not steel, but I was think about it also. Wish it had slight friction grip so I could place it for winching safety.
