winch help?!

i've been looking at winches, does anyone have any horror stories dealing with RAND winches? they look ok, and for how much i'm gonna use it i WONT be able to wear it out. also, for the price of one warn winch, i can buy two of these and put one on each end of the truck!

I've never heard of them, but I would do a search over at Pirate4x4.

A winch is like insurance. You will never know when you'll need it. If you bought the cheapest winch would you worry about if its gonna get you unstuck. I bought a warn 8274 & m12000 because I know they are the best out there.

I have never heard of them either. I have an old Warn that still works great after 15yrs or so of mild use. You usually get what you pay for and Warn is the best winch IMO. Good luck on your decision
