Winch lines by Master-Pull?

I haven't seen them, but I hear they are nice. However, I do have a Master Pull Super Yanker!!! It is the 1 1/4" x 30' unit and i think it will handle up to 70K pounds... Some will probably say that that it way too much, but I have broken 3 Superwinch ones that were guarunteed for life. When I sent the first one back, it was ripped so bad, they said that I couldn't send them back anymore! So I went super heavy duty!

Haven't had a chance to use it yet though since I have my winch now!

LOL..... Well, I tied this one huge mud hole at one of our wheelin areas. It is known to swallow trucks. I i get in so far and bam, STUCK.. My friend Ryan had a 67 GMC at the time with a 6" lift and 35's. He was putting 8 ft of slack in that sucker and yankin at full throttle. I was stuck so bad, it was only moving me about an inch a pull. As he was pullin though it would pull his truck from side to side on the trail!

I have been running one for about a year, though I haven't used it much. Don't get stuck like I used to (esp. since the freakin' radiator got busted...)

It is only a 5/16" x 80' but I like it.

It is SOOOO light! you won't believe it! And it has very low memory, so no more loops while you're pulling it out.

Only thing that sucked about it is i kept pulling it out of the copper battery terminal on the end, even with three wraps on the drum.

I fixed that though. Took a larger size teminal, sqeezed it down with a flaring tool, and threaded the inside with a 3/8" bolt. Threaded the "cable" in covered with epoxy, no prob's since.

It is pretty good stuff.

Is youe winch in the bumper or out in the open? DO you do anything to keep the line clean or safe?

I have master-pull plasma cable and i love it. its alot more flexible than cable. i'd list more reasons, but i'm tired. oh ya, i'g highly recomend the master-pull cable.

I have gotten stuck before and had to have tractors and backhoes pull me out! LOL

Do you keep the line covered? Any problems with UV rays harming the cable?

Guys, my winch is in the bumper, but it is open on top.

It is my understanding that UV won't hurt the line. At least that's what the rep told me.

My rig stays under a canopy of oak trees, but I haven't experienced any "degeneration".
I do have some abrasions, but there's so many fibers in this stuff, I can't see it losing much strength.
And with it, abrasions won't cut your fingers off like wire rope.

yea, well that time I got stuck 50 feet off the pavement, it took a backhole and a large 4WD tractory and 3 1/2 hours to get my back the 50 feet to the pavement...

that was before I'd done anything to my k5, and it had those stupid copper discoveries, and those things are a joke! anyway that was a mess!
