Winch Mount Grill Guard

I am looking for a bolt on winch mount grill guard. I do not want a whole bumper and I do not want headlight guards. I am just looking for one of those simple but solid mounts.

I want to be able to mount at least a 9000 winch and some extra driving and off-road lights. This is for the towrig.

Just welded some 1/4 plate between my frame. Iam sure you could drill holes and grade 8 bolts and bolt it on top the frame.

Yep what he said. I boxed in the front of my frame with 1/4" plate. I went a little farther and actually bent the top plate to make it level since the frame angles upward. I bolted all of mine together, and then had somebody weld the side plates to the top plates, and weld in a small skidplate on the bottom just to brace it up. Cost me about $50 in steel.

If you want to buy one Warn used to sell one, but I don't know if they do anymore. You could get it with or with out the light guards. I used to have one on my '80. The light guards just bolted onto the winch mount. The center plate flips to mount a planetary style winch, or up like I had it for the 8274.

And it is stout!

Currently my MM12000 is in my garage...man, I need to build a mount. A full on bumper would be nice, [I kinda clipped a pine tree making a slow left turn Sunday in Lockwood Valley], but I'm going Dominics route. Simple, inexpensive.

Here's my old "bumper". 1/2" plate except for the front piece which was 1/4" .

Try some older, established 4WD shops. They may still have some in the wherehouse. I sold mine about 2 or 3 yrs ago and they were still selling them new.
