Winch option

Hubnut.. As said check out the vendor pages. there are some good fabricators here and They make some good quality stuff.
If not here try Warn they have winch mounting kits for K5s. But no bumpers
and
Welcome to Ck5. We (At least most of us) are always glad to have new people.

Btw if I had to choose between 25.00 for beer and a Ck5 membership I would take the beer. Gotta keep my priority's straight ya know... Fortunately i can afford both. So you are all stuck with me for another year.:D

Wow, thank you all for the supportive comments. Good group--maybe I'll have to shell out the bucks afterall. It was nice to "kick the tires" as they say and see what the site has to offer. Please forgive me, but I can't find the vendors area you all are referring to. Is it that block above the forum topic areas? I guess I should be using K5 and Blazer in my searches and NOT Jimmy, GMC. I'm assuming these are essentially identical vehicles with different names? Again, thank you.

I really don't care who joins or not, in fact I would like for everybody to join. I get tired of people being cheap and whining about the site.

Glad ya found it! You can search using either one, same stuff for Jimmys and Blazers. They are essentially the same vehicle. Seems to me that searching for Blazer stuff comes up with more info most of the time. IDK what exactly the production numbers were but, I seem to see more Blazer around than Jimmys. Good luck!

Keep it civil guys. Nobody wants their arm twisted when they first come here. Nobody wants to be called names either. The site 'sells' itself usually. It is worth it, and it is obvious to anyone that sticks around long enough.

If times are tight, that isn't reason to ostracize anyone IMO. It's not a great economy right now...so I can't blame anyone for taking the time to evaluate whether or not they're gonna part with their hard earned dollars. Even if they choose not to, that's no reason to treat them badly.

All joking aside. I like it here. You read the mags, and man if Jeeps aren't your thing nor gawdy 24" lifted air ride flamed trucks, resources are limited. Plus your money is done spent. Subscriptions aren't cheap, much less newsstand price!

I like the mild build K5s myself. I really like being able to go one place and find these resources and brotherhood of a great vehicle, the K5. And also many threads about the vehicular cousins of the K5...

I feel everyone has their opinion to whether the site is worth the cost. I feel it is, and will get my membership when I have the money to do so. I'm only 17 and I've learned so much from just pokin around the areas that I do have access to. As for my K5, i found lots more I wanna do to it and u guys have some good ideas. I don't post a lot because, hell, I don't know to much bout anything, but you guys are sure teachin me alot. anyways nuff of me babblin just my opinion

Hell dude you may know more than me in some areas. That doesn't say much for my intelligence as i have very little but coming here has brought some knowledge in all of us. Some more than others. Hang out long enough and you'll want to pony up the dough even if it is for the pics (the reason i actually bought a membership)

good luck on your build too ;)

As for winch mounts, check the mounting system of your winch (feet down vs. feet forward). That'll determine how the mount on a tube bumper or on the truck needs to be.

Very true. I lurked for about a year before ponying up. I finally got so frustrated at not seeing pics that I got the membership. Haven't looked back since.

Many knowledgeable people around here.
 
I have saved so much money over the years by researching this site, I have paid for the membership in advance for years to come. I have since weened myself off the magazines as well, saving more money. I hit the $50 jackpot giveaway last year and a free calendar this year. Come to think of it, I am actually making money on this site.:rolleyes:
