I asked the same question a few days ago myself. I also ordered a 10K from winchdepot for $400 shipped if your lookin. In all the research ive done here and elsewhere everyone has said there not bad and actually havent found any real issues other than its not a Warn or you get what you pay for etc. Im sure its probably made in China or?? but what the hell isnt these days?
If I was out draggin my rig over the rocks 5hrs outta 10 every day Id buy a Warn. Im sure for the occasional " Ahhh S**T im stuck", its fine.

im thinkin about gettin one of those 10k for the rear of my truck. for 400 bucks thats a good deal and i heard it comes with a good warranty
i have a 9000warn and a guy i wheeled with a few times had a 12000 milemarker. my only complaint is that the milemarker is really slow. also the 12000 was cheaper then mine and pulled me out of a hole that my warn wouldnt pull me out of.

Don't own one but I have heard some good things about the two XRC Smittybuilt winches. Any other feedback on these???
