I need to make some bumpers for my truck here since the rear is now tapered and need some sort of recovery gear , it is either save pennies for something good or buy a used mm and refab it up for 200 .

here is my question what makes do you run you use and abused it alot , and what do you reccomend?specify in your post rig size and winch size thanks

Warn 9000i on a 6000 lbs Burb. Used the snatch block whenever possible, never failed me, never seem strained even on a straight line.

before the axle swap and winch(see sig)/bumber it weighed in about 5700. it's close to 6,000 now. I haven't needed to use too many times so far but the times that I have needed it, it has worked great.

well i was figuring on the way my rig is built i would probley be pulling others not myself if i need the winch that i am needing mucho power

Warn 16.5TI in a custom-built bumper on 7500 + lb. burb. Works great!

My fav is an 8274 even though I plan on running the mile marker hydro when I get enough money. Gonna run it through a 12v hydro pump though so no extra strain on a steering system :D

my ramsey patriot 15k seems to work good
I havent had a real need for it yet.. havent gottten stuck :haha:
detroits and hawgs work wonders in mud.....

however I got a few buds that are guaranteeing me a stuck this summer :wink1:

I use a Warn XD 9000. I rebuilt it the other day and that was a good thing, because that night I used it between 15 and 20 times:eek1: (in a 5 hour timespan):eek1:. The people I was wheelin with were very glad that I had it. Even pulled a tree down with it. There was a guy there who had a Mile Marker, it did what he needed it to do, but the thing spooled in with no load slower than mine did with a jeep on the other end. My no load speed is like 30 FPM. I am glad I spent the money I did.
My son just got his 9000Ti warn the other day. It has a no load speed like 50 FPM, boderline dangerous, with cable.

i might buy that mm for the rear and do the16.5 up front but i want a tube bumper rather than what most have the one aksub has is just to bulky

8274

I finally scored the coveted warn 8274 the other day. I had to buy another cj7 to get it, but hey that’s ok right, it’s an 8274. The guy told me that it didn’t even work, after 20 seconds of spreading the contacts so they would connect better it worked like a champ. Yep, thats right I live a double life 3 cj’s and one K5 the funny thing is their all 79s. Any way this one will be sold minus the hardtop, winch, and nice bumpers.

yeah my buddy has one it was junk till we rewired the controler and fixed the box on it now it is the shiot it did catch on fire once trying to pull my k5 outta a nice mud hole but once we rewired it it is nice
