Rubber gizmo that protects the fairlead and acts as a wire weight when in use. See http://winchsaver.com/

Lightly used, no cracks or anything, black, 9500# model. About $50 shipped from them, so how about half that shipped from me?

Paypal preferred, PM me as I don't always check the threads.

So you remove the cable from the drum, feed it through this gizmo, re-attach and re-spool? Are you including the cable lock? So it's this one?

6,000-9,500 Lb. Winch: 2 Lb. It is 6 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches thick. It is designed for 3/8 or 5/16 inch cable.

Don't know, their video makes it look like you just need to pull the hood off and slide it on. The hole just looks kind of small in the picture.

Yes, no (just the puck you see in the pick), yes.

More usefully: When I had wire, I could remove the hook and slide it through, no need to respool. When I switched to synth cable, the loop at the hook end was too large to fit through the hole, so I did have to respool. The hole is ~7/8" diameter, not counting the slots on the sides.

Yeah, they're not exactly a puck. Still, figure it'll weight the winch line down in case of s nap, better than just tossing a shirt over it, and it's thick enough to keep the hook from snagging your fairlead.

Anyway, sounds like it got there intact, so enjoy!
