They make a special tool to remove the crank clip. It slips under the crank and pushes the clip out. They are VERY cheep and can be found at about any parts store.
USE A PIECE OF STRING.
Find the open end of the clip and use the string by placing over the clip and pulling on both ends at the same time.It will pop right out no special tool required. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
