Anyone out there have any luck rebuilding a tailgate window motor? I've come across plenty of folks on the net who have replaced worn brushes and revived a bad motor in different vehicles. I've heard that R/C hobby stores have many different types available that could work in automotive applications. Thoughts?
I've had one apart, but it's been awhile. As I recall there are bushings on either end, if those go, I'm suspecting that pretty well destroys the whole thing.
No big deal to take one apart and look at the innards.
