just wondering if anyone can give advice on removing old window motor and installing new one.it looks tricky but if done before may save me some slang words and fits.thanks for any advice

Start with the window up
get a plastic, wood, nylon, etc wedge and wedge the window in the up position
disconnect the battery
remove the door panel
disconnect window switch and lock switch
remove the three mounting bolts for the window regulator
slide the regulator back to disengage the rear roller from the window channel,
disengage the lower roller
disengage the front roller from the window chasnnel
the window regulator and motor will come out the opening in the door
THE REGULATOR ARMS ARE UNDER SPRING PRESSURE! THE REGULATOR GEARS MUST BE LOCKED TO KEEP THEM FROM UNLOADING. USE VISEGRIPS OR DRILL AND TAP THE SECTOR GEAR AND BACK PANEL!
there should be instructions with the new motor. just don't remove the old one till the gears are locked
replace motor

thanks man,no bleeding,no cussing jus a couple cold beers and bout thirty minutes she up and down like a champ.dont guess you ever tackled a rear window motor?

The rear window motor isn't to bad. I can't guarantee this is totally accurate I fixed mine a while ago. Start with the rear window up as high as possible with the tailgate down. Remove the big plate on the tailgate which allows you to work on the stuff inside. Remove the bolts from the 2 slides that attach to the bottom of the window. Get window out. Then theres about 5 bolts that hold the big gear set undo em and take it out. The window motor is easily accessible at that point.
