Anybody have a good source for new window motors??

Mine take forever usually & now both have quit halfway up...

Thanks

well, motor usualy is ok-its the gear drive and clutch that goes out.i used a heavy duty zip tie on mine around the main gear. almost a year now and is working good.

just a redneck thought

Make sure the window runs and roller tracks are clean. Also use a drop of white lithium grease on the nylon wheels of the regulator.

Easy Pick up

If you don't want to mess with ordering it online you can always pick it up at your local parts store(Advance Auto, Auto Zone, etc.). They cost about $8 more a piece but you don't have to pay shipping or wait.

Good luck with the change out. I just started mine on my '86 and it is a pain. I wish I could find some type of directions to help me out.

Luckily I cut the holes for the speakers right where the motors are so changing out is as easy as removing the speaker, I had to use a 1.5" spacer to clear the motor with the speaker magnet though.
