I am attempting to replace my drivers side window regulator on my 72' Blazer, but cant seem to get the old one out or the window off the track for that matter. Does anyone know the trick?!?!

If I remember right, you have to take the rear track out. Then you can slide the Window backwards and get the rollers out of the track (when the window is half way up). Then you fish it out of the door and then can unscrew the regulator and get it out.

The first time I did it it was very confusing until I figured it out. Then it seemed very obvious to me.

Hopefully that helps.

rear track has to come out and we had to disconnect the wing track too too get it finished... just did both sides of my kids truck

yeah the front track.. its all part of the wing assembly

- Lower glass completely, remove the window regulator handle and the door lock knob.
- remove the door armrest and trim panel.
- remove the ventilator assembly.
- Slide the main window glass forward until the front roller is in alignments with the notch in the sash channel. Disengage the roller.
- Push the window forward and tilt the front edge up until the rear roller is disengaged.
- return the window glass to the level position and withdraw it from the door.

The above is from a chiltons manual so use at your own risk. But last time I did the regulator removal I did remove the window first.

okay, great. Final question. What is the ventilator assembly? I poured over diagrams on LMC truck but I can't find it.

OH oh oh oh oh misat Carter! Oh ohoh oh pick me!

What is the wind wing more commonly known as the vent window?

Well welcome and we all were new to it at one time or other. As bent72 said once " don't blame us....it's a disease....the site is really K5s Anon".

Don't be ashamed to ask for help 99.9% of the guys here will do their best to help you. The .1% don't stick around to long! I came here to learn in 2006 and am still learning. :waytogo:

I am proud to say these guys are like family to me. Heck they are nicer than my real family:doah:. We truly are a band of brothers joined in our lover for 4x4's and wheeling. Even if some haven't wheeled in a while
