Been there, done that.
Besides the obvious hand tools to get the door panel off, you'll want a set of dental picks to get the snap ring off the window crank. The auto parts and tools places sell these -- I like the round hook one for this. If you're OCD, remember to match the window crank position with the driver's side when you put it back together.
You'll also want some silicone spray for any rubber pieces going against glass, and some grease for the sash, where the wheel rides in a track.
My experience is that you should remove the bolts holding the rear channel so that it flops loose, and loosen or remove the bolts holding the window crank mechanism in place. You will probably want to closely examine them to see how they work -- they're a scissor mechanism and it takes some getting used to.
It's then easiest to put the rear side of the window almost straight down to weasel the window into place. You then rotate it forward -- for the passenger window, counter-clockwise -- while fiddling the scissor into place. A helper would be handy, but I've done it solo. With a lot of swearing.
The trick is that there's a round cutout in the center of the track, and one of the wheels wants to go in there while the other one goes in the end of the track. All the while, you're holding up this glass thing and praying you don't break it and trying not to get grease on everything and sweating and swearing and banging and cutting your knuckles.
Windex and *clean* rags for the glass will be required when you're done.
You'll want to keep this from happening again. I've found that when the wheels get sticky in the track, they bind up and/or pop out, and then there's sidewise pressure applied to the window. This is when they pop, so make sure the window slides easily up and down. Also, if it's in bad shape or missing the plastic sleeve, you should replace the door strike (below) as this will reduce the slam pressure. Be sure to properly adjust its position.
