Window sash adhesive?

Hey guys, I am replacing the side window tracks on my '72 K5 and am finding the rubber gaskets they sell you new fill the gap but don't really hold the window glass firmly in place. Hate to use Gorilla Glue on it in case it needs replacement someday. Any recommendations?

I think you use glass setting tape? I believe it comes in different thicknesses, maybe what you have is not thick enough?

This guy is putting some on around the 5:50 mark or you could take it to a local glass shop.

glue it in with the 3m you can cut it out if needed later. Make sure you get the primer.

Thanks, Wes! I assume the adhesive goes on both sides of the rubber tape or gasket. But I couldn't find a reference to which material the primer gets applied to. Am guessing it goes on the glass...

apply primer to both glass and channel.
