I got purple window tint on the rear glass on my blazer, its all ripped up and looks like crap. what is the best way to get this stuff off?

Thanks

when I bought my truck it had that crap on the rear window, I took my time with a razor blade and didnt scratch it, just took a good while, and hadta change blades a couple times cause as the glue builds up on it, it is more likely to scratch the glass

i didn't scratch mine..

i did a single edge razor and some windex...

shoulda thought of it, but use a blow dryer it will warm the glue and peel off..how do i know? thats how you take grip tape off a skateboard

well heating it up might be a no-no i dont wanna crack the glass 30 degrees tommorrow:doah:

Yeah just take some windex, and spray it alot while pulling out on it. It should come right off. The glue will be there still but that just comes right off with a razor blade. The purple is from cheap tint and it faded. My Blazer side windows are like that too. If you go to redo them don't use the Walmart tint. They make some good stuff but it's more expensive. Well worth it though.

GOO GONE does wonders with the left over glue, it will take care of it with out even thinking about it!

I had the same tint on my rear window. I was lucky though. I took the edge of it and ripped it off. It came off in tree big pieces. The window was cold. It was about 35-40 degrees out. Have you tried to grab it and rip it yet? It might work.

we do it porfessionally a razor blade and a heat gun will help. use widex . plus i really doubt you will crack glass haha had to laugh at that

They sell tint removal solution at Wal Mart but it's basically the same as Windex. I just used that and got it started with a razor blade. Then just pulled it all the way off. Used Goo Gone for the left over glue.
