Window to window track

How is the window glass supposed to be secured to the track that it sits in?

LMC sold me a rubber strip that sits in the track, but if i pull up slightly (or the glass gets snug in the window track on the way down) it pulls the glass right out


I am thinking some type of rubbery adhesive?

3M used to sell a "Channel Bonding Adhesive" for just that purpose...been years since I sold any,but they probably still make it....the Butyl rubber used to bond windsheilds to the car might work in a pinch...
