I need help getting rid of the whistle coming from the push-out window on my 1991 GMC Jimmy. Is there a certain spot that causes this? I've tried to seal the whole trim, no luck.

Thanks
Rob

Two options. 1. rebuild your wing windows or 2. buy new wing windows. I have done both and it is far easier to buy new wing windows from Precision and install them than to do the work to rebuild your old ones. If you want to price them out, you can contact Jon Addington or any dealer of Precision seals.

Yeah I tried pushing them by hand and seat them Better, that works for a while until you hit a few potholes.
I did seal mine with black silicone and I am fine with it, never really used them anyway.
But if you want to keep it functional, I second @kennyw get the reproduction units and be done

Many years ago, I placed some thin sticky foam on top of the original seal, after I figured out where the leak was. This worked fine for years.

I’ve replaced the seals , as mentioned it’s not a trivial task. I recall having to replace the rivet on the top hinge. I replaced them because they were old, but they weren’t whistling. Now the driver side whistles. Gasket in bottom corner is a tiny bit off. Small piece of tape stops the whistle. I do like the thin foam tape idea. Tape is a pita as I do use the wing.

Jon is the best. Why isn't he a vendor here.

I think he mostly sticks to advertising in Facebook groups as it isn't big enough to work as a full-time income.
