Hi. I replaced the motors in my ‘90 back around April of this year. I ordered the ‘GM genuine’ motors from Rockauto. I also have one of the LMC heavy duty wire kits installed for a few years now. Switch was replaced not too long ago with a Dorman. Yesterday, the drivers window doesn’t operate anymore. When using the switch I hear the lmc relays click depending on if I’m moving the switch up/down but no
Love from the motor. Bad motor? I’m not
Looking forward to the cut up forearms from trying to shove my arms in there again to change the thing out.

Side question how do you like the LMC window relays? I was looking at doing the same thing I was debating between LMC and making one.

I like them a lot. they were simple to install and saw a great difference how much faster they go up/down.

Another vote in favor of the LMC window relay kit. They greatly improve the speed of the window.

Disregard. I’m an idiot and always go to the most complicated diagnosis possible. After tearing everything apart I decided to check the fuse on the harness. Luckily my forearms are safe for now.

Not an idiot, why did the fuse blow? Shouldn't happen if things are working and fused properly.

No idea really. It never happened before and it has not happened since. All of the wires are intact, no nicks or cuts.
I am going to tear the entire window mechanism apart to give the regulators and all a good cleaning and grease where it needs it.

This may not be an issue for you, but I have a window switch that doesn't like to return to center. My '90 has circuit breakers, so it reset after I found the problem. Now I just need to swap the switch, again. It is a newer ACDELCO, made in China switch.. :doah:
So maybe you had a switch stick on momentarily? :dunno:
