Hey guy's
I may be wording things wrong or I might just have bad search-fu, but I would like to know how hard it would be to remove the solid windows in my 78's top and replace them with the slider type. (if I can find some). Stupid reason is the dog likes to stick his head out the back. This was easy without the top off this summer, but the weather is starting to get chilly and the top will be going back on soon.
Thanks

They are a direct replacement, solid for slider. Rene had a good post on this recently, something about finding a clip along the side of the rubber seal, usually at the bottom middle. Pull the clip and it exposes the ends of a rubber "ropelike" stiffener thing, pull the rope out and you can shimmy the glass out. Maybe use some dishsoap/water mix as a lubricant for easier removal/install.

I just so happen to have a pair of sliders I'm looking to trade for solid...hmmm
